Sugar Creek is a Southern Baptist Church and is in agreement with the scriptural beliefs of the Southern Baptist Convention as outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message.

It is important to note that every Southern Baptist Church is unique. Each church is individually governed and led by its staff and its members. Therefore, if you visit more than one Southern Baptist Church, you will notice a great degree of individuality.

At Sugar Creek, we have identified five core values that shape the way we do church. The following is a list and brief description of our core values.

Total Dependence

Apart from God we can do nothing demonstrated by… allowing the Holy Spirit to inspire, guide and empower us through fervent prayer and obedience to God’s perfect will.

High Expectation

God’s provision deserves our greatest commitment Demonstrated by… placing our confidence in God to overcome all obstacles and striving for God’s standard of excellence in all things.

Mutual Respect

We seek to make a forever difference in people’s lives Demonstrated by… using every resource and opportunity to reach our region, impact our nation and touch our world.

Generational Relevance

We communicate the unchanging message of Christ to an ever-changing world Demonstrated by… encouraging and celebrating the commitment it takes to reach each generation and creating opportunities for cross-generational ministry and interaction.

We acknowledge the Bible as the perfect Word of God demonstrated by...our commitment to reading, studying, memorizing, meditation upon and then obeying God’s Word.
