The WCA team thought it woud be great to sing a song in English and Spanish (Gloria) for both the English and Spanish services. Not only was it decided that they would play the song, but they would perform for the entire Spanish session also. So both groups came together in late January.
It required a great effort from everybody, including the choir and orchestra. The Spanish folks learned some English and our English folks learned some Spanish. Our tech crews had to be at church at 5 am on Sunday to do the setup in the old gym, but when finished, God allowed us to experience a little bit of what heaven would be; A place of worship regardless of place of birth. The Worship Pastor, Tony Price, sang half of the song in English, as Julio Arriola lead the Choir. Then they switched, allowing Julio singing to sing Spanish. It was as much a blessing for the musicians as it was for those that worshipped in the congrugation.
The Spanish service meets each Sunday morning at 11:00 AM in Gym 2, with vibrant music by the WCA Spanish Ministry Team, coupled with a powerful message from Spanish Languae Pastor Juan Carlos Heredia.
