Sugar Creek Missions exists to equip and mobilize the local and global church to love and lead all people to life change in Christ. Come and experience the heart, passion and vision of a church empowered by the Holy spirit to reach the lost and hurting in every place. Empowered is a family-friendly event that will offer an immersive experience of being on mission with Sugar Creek. Participants will meet our local and foreign Mission partners, discover ways their unique gifts, talents, abilities and interests, can be used by God and enjoy amazing cuisine from our featured country this year- Colombia! You are cordially invited to be empowered!

Vision and Worship

Experience worship in one of the most diverse church communities in the nation. With over 90 countries represented in our church body, worship resembles the beautiful picture described in the book of Revelation. A multitude of nations and tongues will be passionately magnifying the matchless name of Jesus. Our Missions Pastor, Ender Palencia, will be sharing the heart and vision of Sugar Creek, and how God has used Sugar Creek this year. Adults and children alike will gain insight into local and global cultures and will discover meaningful ways to pray together in this immersive experience!

World Tour Experience

Enjoy a family-friendly world tour of food and fellowship with our world-class partners. You will have opportunities to learn in-depth about our missions partners locally and internationally and how you can be a part of what God is doing through them. Children will learn about what it’s like to go on a mission trip. They will receive their passport to travel our world and engage in age-appropriate compassion ministry opportunities that they are sure to love. In addition, they will have a chance to try delectable sweets from Colombia! As you walk through our interactive experience, your family will learn together how each of us can live on mission. Childcare is provided for children 4 years old and under.

Experience the wonder of Colombia’s beauty, culture and food right from Sugar Creek! Colombia will be our featured partner. Expect to hear stories, enjoy incredible food and delicious desserts from Gran Colombia restaurant and Bakery. You will hear how God used students and adults from Sugar Creek to make an impact this year. Our world-class partner Conviventia will be part of a panel where you can learn more about how God is at work in Columbia and how you too can be a part of it.

Houston is one of the top 5 largest and most diverse cities in the country. Over 7 million people from all over the world live, work, play, and go to school in the greater Houston area. The needs are more than one church can handle. We collaborate with local, Christ-centered partners, who have different areas of expertise, to meet physical and emotional needs and to plant Christ-centered churches in the Houston area. You will be able to meet Sugar Creek’s Missions partners and discover how your unique skills, abilities and background are natural invitations to live a life on mission. We will feature areas of ministry such as:

Human trafficking
Compassion Ministry
Orphan Care
Refugee ministry
Evangelism and Church planting

We support and work with church planting organizations and Christ-centered relief ministries in different parts of the world so that together we can take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. This year, we invite you to explore how through your areas of gifting and life experience, God has opened up doors for you to serve all around the world. You will meet partners and have opportunities to ask questions and sign up for foreign trips in areas such as:
