Due by October 6
This fall, the Women’s Ministry of Sugar Creek is once again participating in the A Day of Hope Spa Day for Caregivers in association with A Day with Dad.
A Day with Dad is a chance for now Christian fathers (attending seminary at the Darrington Prison Unit) to spend time with their kids; dancing with their daughters, bestowing wisdom to their sons and praying a blessing over them.
We will provide a spa day for the women who take care of these children whose fathers are spending life in prison. These wives, sisters and grandmothers are now raising these kids themselves. There is a lot of pain and bitterness associated with this. This day is a chance to love on these ladies and show them the hope that is found in Jesus.
Sugar Creek will provide around 50 gift bags and boutique items, as well as some giveaways for these precious ladies.
Here’s how YOU can be involved!
- Donate funds toward purchasing bath and body items. (Checks made payable to SCBC and earmarked for “A Day of Hope.” Place in an envelope marked “Jessica Leffew.”)
- Be a part of the Pampering Team on the big day, Saturday, November 2 (Approx. 7:00-11:30 AM) by giving massages, hand treatments and make-overs. Training will be provided on Tuesday, October 22 from 6:30-8:00 PM at the Freedom Center Church. Please contact the Day of Hope Coordinator to RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
