Immeasurably More
Ephesians 3:14-21

Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Ephesians 3:10-11 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are living in the immeasurably more of the prayers and imaginations of those who came before us.

It’s now our turn to ask and imagine so that God can do immeasurably more!

 

1. GOD IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE.

· Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…

· Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

· Hebrews 7:25 Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.

 

2. GOD IS NEEDED FOR US TO EXPERIENCE THE IMMEASURABLY MORE.

· Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us

· Ephesians 3:16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being

· 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

· Acts 13:49-52 The word of the Lord spread through the whole region. 50 But the Jews incited the prominent God-fearing women and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their district. 51 But Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet against them and went to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

 

3. GOD INVITES US INTO THE IMMEASURABLY MORE.

· Ephesians 3:16-19 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

 

· We say YES through our Faith

· We say YES through our Love

· We say YES through our Surrender
