“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Job Search Survival is a Christian job skills program. It stresses the importance of being a person of faith and how that will help you through the ups and downs of the job search process. We are  Christian in our presentations, our prayers, and our focus. It will not be our intent to ever insult, embarrass, or force our faith on anyone, but we will not back away from the truth of the Bible, and the power of a mighty prayer life on the job search process.

All programs below are from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Job Search class

Weekly Support Group meets Thursday mornings, 9am-12:00pm

Beginning January 10, 2018 – they will no longer be on Thursdays in Room B3-75 (Family Center). Instead, they will be on Wednesdays in the Commons Place Room (Family Center).

We also have a Weekly Support Group that meets each Thursday morning 9am-noon in room B3-75 (located in our Family Center Bldg.) which focus is identifying a job seeker’s “Accomplishments”. Most resume’s articulate “Responsibilities” which are often generic while accomplishment’s are personal and make a candidate standout from the competition. Accomplishments impact all aspects of the job search process from networking, to resumes, to interviewing and landing and contributing in the new position or opportunity. Communicating accomplishments is quite different in the resume versus networking or interviewing activities.

The Weekly Support Group is participative and while we work with a particular job seeker other participants gain insight into how to specifically improve their process and also contribute to the current conversation. This approach allows the agenda to adjust to meet the needs of the group.  Come join us, the group is a safe place.
