What is Alpha?

Alpha is a welcoming space to explore life’s big questions about faith and God from a Christian perspective. Join our engaging online sessions, where friendly small-group discussions create an open, non-judgmental environment. Whether you're skeptical, curious, or growing in faith, Alpha offers a positive, informal way to explore life, faith, and purpose together.

Who is Alpha For?

Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. Our next Alpha course starts September 30th and meets for 8 consecutive weeks. Registrations close September 22nd.

What happens at Alpha?

When you attend Alpha each week online, you'll be greeted by our host team and the others joining in. We start each week by creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone - sometimes with a game, a story, or something fun to do. Each week has 1 or 2 videos that we'll watch together to spark conversation to explore the deeper issues of life and faith.

WELCOME

All classes are conducted via the Zoom platform, so you can attend online from anywhere on any device. Each class begins with a time of introductions to welcome and meet new people. The experience is designed to help people have fun and engage in discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

WATCH

Each Alpha class features short documentary-style films to watch and discuss. Designed to inspire more questions than provide answers, these short films explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus and How can we have faith? We will watch the film each week together and then break into smaller groups to discuss.

DISCUSS

The group experience is a time to share what's on your heart and mind together in a small group setting facilitated by friendly discussion hosts. You will be matched in a group with friends or family, and if you selected "skeptic, curious, or growing Christ-follower" in your registration, we'll try to match you up with others who selected the same self-description.

ALPHA KITS

We've got a special Alpha box that's personalized just for you once you register. What's inside? It's a surprise that everyone gets to experience together at the same time at the start of each class. There's things to help guide you, challenge you, and have fun along the way.

DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR
