The I.T. Director serves as the primary IT Solution Architect for SCBC. This person is responsible for the I.T. disciplines of Program Management, Technical Support, Systems Administration, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, Data Administration, and other areas of Information Technology operations. The position oversees budgetary requirements, implementation, development, maintenance, and life-cycle management of technology solutions for effective ministry and develops team members and volunteers.


General Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic plan for the IT area with regular evaluation of outcomes of the plan
  • Provide well-crafted technology solutions to Ministry challenges
  • Ensure excellent stewardship of SCBC resources
  • Implement Systems rhythms to minimize operational interruption and maximize system impact
  • Oversee effective troubleshooting of SCBC technology
  • Provide effective cybersecurity measures to protect SCBC and its guests
  • Create a culture of exceptional, positive support for technology
  • Implement effective policies and procedures that reduce friction and interruption for SCBC users
  • Ensure that regular computer maintenance, program updates, repairs, and troubleshooting are provided with excellence as needed
  • Provide efficient configuration and maintenance of network equipment, including wired and wireless networks
  • Provide effective management of IT assets (both physical and data) security
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of all information technology assets (both hardware and software) and maintain a consistent life-cycle plan for physical assets.
  • Ensure SCBC staff are trained and supported on office productivity applications, workstations, working with files, storing items on servers, e-mail operation, and any necessary computer skills
  • Prepare and steward the IT budget so that resources are appropriately allocated
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of current technologies and trends relevant to SCBC needs, and be proficient in hardware upkeep, software usage, and workstation and server maintenance


Candidate Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor's degree; preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of full-time I.T. leadership experience.
  • Experience managing MSP relationships.
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Proven success in managing IT systems and processes in a similar-sized business or non-profit
  • Outgoing personality, confident in building relationships
  • A can-do attitude that believes every glass is half full
  • Analytical problem-solver with an attention to details
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to lead multiple projects at the same time

The Digital Ministries Administrative Assistant is a full-time member of the Digital Ministries Team, reporting to the Digital Ministries Team Leader. This role provides vital administrative and operational support to ensure the efficiency and organization of the Digital Ministries department. The Digital Ministries Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing financial processes, coordinating meetings and team calendars, and assisting with project tracking. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


General Responsibilities

1. Financial Administration. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Tracking and reconciling Digital Ministries budget expenses
  • Preparing and submitting check requests, purchase orders, and reimbursement forms
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assisting with budget reporting and forecasting as requested by the Project Coordinator

2. Project Management Support. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting with project setup, tracking, and updates within Asana
  • Monitoring deadlines and organizing project details for Digital Ministries initiatives
  • Communicating with team members to confirm task progress and dependencies
  • Providing administrative support during project planning and execution

3. Team Coordination & Communication. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Serving as the primary contact for vendors and third-party partners
  • Coordinating staff and department meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and recording notes or action items
  • Managing and maintaining the Digital Ministries team calendar
  • Assisting with internal communications and documentation to help keep the team aligned
  • Administrative support for team events, workshops, and training sessions as needed

General Responsibilities

1. Facility Maintenance and Repair. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Responding to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspecting facilities regularly to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Assisting with set-up, tear-down, and room configuration for services, events, and special projects as needed.

2. Equipment and Systems Support. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitoring and supporting HVAC schedules and related systems in coordination with the Facilities leadership.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting on equipment and coordinating with vendors or specialists when additional support is required.
  • Following preventive maintenance schedules and maintaining accurate service records.
  • Helping ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with church guidelines and applicable regulations.

3. Campus Appearance and Safety. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the overall cleanliness, organization, and appearance of interior and exterior spaces.
  • Assisting with inspections related to safety, building codes, and regulatory requirements as directed.
  • Helping identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, or security concerns.
  • Providing a helpful and courteous presence to staff, church members, and guests while working on campus.


Candidate Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
  • General working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as part of regular duties.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Part-Time Summer Graphic Design Intern will support the organization’s visual communication efforts by creating engaging and effective design materials for summer programs and ongoing activities. This role is ideal for a beginner to intermediate designer looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The intern will assist with a variety of creative projects, helping to visually communicate messages that align with Sugar Creek’s values and outreach goals. This role is on the Digital Ministries Team, reporting to the Communications Coordinator.


General Responsibilities

  • Design digital and print materials needed for summer activities, events, and programs
  • Coordinate with the direct report to ensure the timely completion and distribution of print needs
  • Work alongside our Promotions Coordinator to execute graphics needed to meet our main church social media schedule
  • Assist with ongoing design needs such as posters, slides, and promotional assets
  • Work within established brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency
  • Collaborate with team members to understand goals and offer creative solutions when needed
  • Utilize design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality materials
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed
  • Support other creative or administrative tasks as assigned

The Part-Time Worship Leader for Sugar Land High School ministry will provide musical and spiritual leadership for weekly student worship gatherings and work closely with student ministry staff, worship staff, volunteers, and the production team to coordinate and execute all worship-related elements for the High School service. The Worship Leader will serve in a spirit of teamwork and humility, offering their time, skills, and gifting to support the overall mission, vision, and pastoral leadership of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. This is a part-time role requiring approximately 3–5 hours per week, including rehearsal, preparation, service leadership, planning, and volunteer coordination.


General Responsibilities

  • Lead worship vocally and musically with excellence during Sunday Night High School services.
  • Prepare thoroughly by learning music in advance and arriving early for rehearsal, setup, and soundcheck.
  • Plan and organize services using Planning Center, including scheduling volunteers in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with musicians, vocalists, student ministry staff, and production/tech team members.
  • Help cultivate a worship environment that is God-centered, distraction-free, and engaging for students.
  • Train and develop volunteer vocalists and musicians to maintain a level of excellence consistent with Sugar Creek Baptist Church worship standards.
  • Utilize multitrack playback and click tracks as appropriate to enhance the worship experience.
  • Assist in recruiting, auditioning, onboarding, and mentoring student worship leaders and band members.
  • Support the broader Student Ministry and Worship Ministry as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff.


Candidate Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading worship in a church or live performance setting (student ministry experience preferred).
  • Strong vocal ability and instrumental proficiency.
  • Comfortable leading with click tracks and/or multitracks.
  • Familiarity with Planning Center (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • Demonstrates respect for the spiritual focus and flow of worship gatherings.
  • Passionate about student culture and knowledgeable of worship styles that effectively engage high school students.

3. Work Schedule & Commitment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sunday Night Service (weekly)
  • Weekly preparation and rehearsal as scheduled
